35mm Film Portrait Shoot
For this shoot I decided to base my portrait images on a lifestyle theme. I used a studio style set-up, using soft-boxes to create softer light and blend in with the complexion of the model. I wanted to influence the lifestyle of a western character by using a variety of facial expressions to express meanings, emotions and personality.
Influence Images
This image in particular I had come across to influence me for my 35mm film shoot. I thought this facial expression, a kind of natural expression that isn't to over the top and not too dull, it is allowing the complexion and facial features to use their characteristics to tell as story in the image.
Final Image Darkroom Prints
I produced Darkroom prints with my final images from the shoot, to show more of an art form throughout this image selection as I was capturing images of a character that is traditional with the clothes they are wearing in the images.
This process went reasonably well and the test prints were easy to relate to with the settings for the final prints, making the time slightly easier in the darkroom.
